S.N.E.A.K. Contraption

Oils on primed illustration board mounted onto MDF/Masonite.
This image was made up of nine separate paintings, each approx. 19” x 25.5”.

I am excited to finally be able to share this piece which was created for Magic the Gathering’s ‘Unstable’ set.

Contraptions are central to the set, and each faction has their own. S.N.E.A.K.’s symbol and recurring motif features an umbrella, so I based the overall look of the contraption on an umbrella stand.

I took part in the concept push to create the style guide, and it has been great to see a set through from the initial stages to the final product.

I’m also looking forward to see what all the other artists have created from the concepts.
